Management Team
Art Hurtado
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hurtado is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience
in management and technical positions in communications for both
commercial and government sectors. Prior to joining Invertix, Mr.
Hurtado was the Senior Vice President, Telecommunications, for
CACI, Inc. He also served as the Chief Scientist during the early
stages of development of the Public Safety Wireless Network. Prior
to joining CACI, Mr. Hurtado was the Vice President for Systems
Applications for Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation.
He served with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Army, where he
managed a variety of communications and intelligence systems programs.
Mr. Hurtado holds a MSEE from New Mexico State University and a BS
in Chemistry from Southwest Missouri State University. He is a certified
Project Management Professional. He is currently a member of the
Board of Visitors, Virginia Commonwealth University, the Advisory
Board to New Mexico State University's College of Engineering, the
Advisory Board to the School of Information Technology and Engineering,
George Mason University, and the Advisory Board to the Department
of Chemistry, Missouri State University.
Bryan Judd
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Judd has over 15 years of experience in financial management
and corporate administration. Mr. Judd is responsible for all of
the company’s finance functions, including financial planning,
financial reporting, accounting and taxation. In addition, he oversees
the company’s legal, contracts and banking functions as well
the administration of all employee benefit programs. He also serves
as the company’s facility security officer (FSO). Prior to
Invertix, he was the East Coast Business Manager of SM&A
Corporation, a public consulting services company with annual
revenues of over $100 million (subsequently acquired by L-3). In
addition to his financial reporting responsibilities, he was
instrumental in successfully integrating the financial systems and
employee benefits plans of acquired companies. Prior to SM&A,
Mr. Judd served as Accounting Manager for Space Applications Corporation,
a privately held software and IT services company. Prior to joining
Space Applications Corporation, he was a Senior Auditor with
Pricewaterhouse LLP, where he oversaw the delivery of assurance
services in the technology practice group. Mr. Judd holds BS degrees
in Finance and Accounting from George Mason University.
Craig Parisot
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Parisot has over 14 years experience managing operations
at the nexus of technology and business in commercial and government
organizations. Prior to joining Invertix, Mr. Parisot held senior
management positions with SI International and Bridge Technology
Corporation where he demonstrated his ability to quickly assess
operational and market opportunities, develop and communicate
compelling visions and strategic plans, and build teams to execute
effectively. With SI, he served as a Senior Director with SI's
Intelligence Business Unit where he was responsible for the company's
strategic business relationships and delivery of several key programs,
all in the defense intelligence sector. Parisot came to SI International
through its acquisition of Bridge Technology Corporation where, as
a Director, he was responsible for all corporate operations. Parisot
joined Bridge from start-up through acquisition playing a major role
in the company's rapid growth and profitability. Mr. Parisot served
as a member of the defense acquisition corps in assignments with the
Air Force's Electronic Systems Center and with the Defense Contract
Management Agency and is well known for shaping DoD policy while
leading the Air Force's Information Technology Services Program. He
holds a MBA from California State Polytechnic University and a BA degree
in English from the University of South Carolina. He is also a PMI
certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and DAWIA certified
in Federal Contracting.
Barb Trent
Vice President
Ms. Barb Trent joined Invertix following a successful Military Intelligence career with the United States Army, retiring as a Colonel in 2008. In her role, she is responsible for the management and development of the company's ISR and Cyber missions with clients spanning the intelligence, defense, and R&D communities. Barb is also the senior manager at the Invertix office in Las Cruces, New Mexico overseeing the facilities day to day operations that includes a full lifecycle communications engineering capability. Barb received her commission following graduation from the New Mexico Military Institute and received a BS in Criminal Justice from New Mexico State University. During her 29 years of service, she had several assignments supporting overseas operations. These deployments included Iraq and Afghanistan in her role as the Deputy Science Advisor for the U.S. Army's Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) and the Army's G2 and her final assignment as the Military Deputy to the Director of the National Security Agency's Science Advisor.
Dr. Dan Law
Chief Scientist
Dr. Law has 13 years experience in technology research and management in fields including plasma physics, bio-technology, and wireless communications. At Invertix, Dr. Law directs development teams in the production and maintenance of new and existing products including mNet and Bitwise. Dr. Law also coordinated development of a fault-tolerant digital signal processing architecture for NASA, launched a fully-redundant National Alerting System for the FBI, and consulted with DHS on technology for public safety land mobile radio interoperability. Prior to joining Invertix, Dr. Law was responsible for technology in the Asia-Pacific region for Landmat Ehf, a global wireless application provider based in Iceland, where he led development teams in the launch of consumer wireless products with partners including SingTel, Globe Telecom, Vodafone, Intel, and Discovery. Dr. Law has a B.A. degree with high honors in Astronomy and Physics from Wesleyan University and a PhD in Plasma Physics from Oxford University. Dr. Law also completed two post-doctoral fellowships, one developing techniques for plasma processing at Oxford University and one working on statistical techniques for microarray gene classification at the University of Singapore. Dr. Law has a number of well-cited publications in areas including plasma physics and cosmology.
Jim Agniel
Director, Advanced Programs
Mr. Agniel is an
engineering management professional with 12 years experience
developing advanced electronic systems for defense and commercial
applications. He leads the Advanced Programs business unit,
transitioning Invertix R&D technologies to solve emerging
defense and security problems. He previously assumed business
development, project management and project engineering roles at SensorCom, Annapolis, and at L-3 Communications Nova Engineering, Cincinnati. While at L-3 Nova, he captured new business and managed engineering teams developing next-generation communications, signal processing and intelligence systems for defense customers. Mr. Agniel has the scar tissue and foosball skills of a veteran of the late-90s telecom boom, when he developed commercial wireless products for severaltelecommunications startup ventures. He has technical expertise in RF/microwave systems, array signal processing and software defined radio. Mr. Agniel holds a BSEE degree from Kansas State University and an MSEE degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Sean Gallagher
Director, National Intelligence Programs
Mr. Gallagher is a Senior Government Financial Manager with over 10
years experience working in, and consulting to, the Department of Defense
and other US government clients. He is the Financial Manager for a US
Government Intelligence Program that supports the entire Intelligence
Community and manages programs at various Intel Community partners providing
Operational, IT, Financial, Acquisition and Program management support.
He has substantial experience in the government Planning, Programming,
Budgeting, and Execution process, preparing numerous Congressional Budget
Justification Book Volumes and executing budgets in excess of $100M
in support of Intelligence Operations. He has successfully defended
Intel Community programs to ODNI and Congressional staffs. He holds
an MBA from the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business and
a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Economics from the University
of Notre Dame.
Bryan Houlette
Director, Technical Operations
Mr. Houlette is a Senior Systems Engineer with over 18 years
experience consulting to government and commercial clients. He is
the Project Lead for the FBI's Law Enforcement Online Program with
extensive experience with numerous operating platforms. He has
substantial experience in the implementation of Wireless Advanced
Intelligent Networks (AIN / WIN) and signaling system 7 (SS7)
subsystems on a global basis. He also designed, tested, and
implemented complex communication equipment for both cellular and
PCS infrastructures, AMPS, TDMA, GSM, CDMA and 3G. He holds a BSEE
from Texas Tech University.
John Reinemann
Director, DoDIIS
John is the Program Manager for the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Senior Engineering Technical Advisors (SETA) contract supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). He is responsible for controlling and managing all aspects of the contract as well as the capture, fulfillment and growth of Invertix services and technology that support the DoDIIS Enterprise. Mr. Reinemann has over 15 years experience managing programs for industry and defense department. During his military career with the U.S. Army, he advised and briefed Senior DoD officials on information management issues and strategies while serving in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, SACEUR, and TRADOC. Mr. Reinemann holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a MS in IT Management from the University of Maryland University College. He has also obtained certification as a Project Management Professional from PMI and a CISSP from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2).
Toni Smart
Director, Strategic Initiatives
Ms. Toni Smart joined the
Invertix team after three years with Intergraph Corporation as the
Executive Director, Intelligence Community (IC) Relationships.
In that role, she was responsible for IC Business Development and
managing the strategic partnership with Overwatch Boston
Operations. Ms. Smart was responsible for capturing several
key contract wins, to include her business unit's first Prime
contract award with an IC Agency in a decade. Prior to that,
Ms. Smart served with distinction for over 25 years in the
Intelligence Community, retiring as a Military Intelligence
Colonel. She is a combat veteran of Somalia, Haiti, and Bosnia
and has an extensive NSA background. Ms. Smart holds a Master
of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War
College, a Master of Military Art and Science from the Advanced
Military Studies Program at the US Army Command and General Staff
College, and a BS in Engineering from the United States Military
Academy at West Point.

Art Money
The Honorable Arthur L. Money was sworn in as Assistant Secretary
of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (ASD
(C3I)) on October 5, 1999 and served in that position until April
7, 2001. Prior to his Senate Confirmation as the ASD(C3I), Mr. Money
served as the Senior Civilian Official, Office of the ASD (C3I) from
February 1998 to October 1999. He also served as the Department of
Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) from February 1998 to
April 2001. He served as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for
Research, Development and Acquisition (Senate confirmed appointment),
and as CIO for the Air Force from January 1996 to February 1998.
He was President of ESL Inc., a subsidiary of TRW from January 1990
to December 1994, prior to its consolidation with TRW's Avionics and
Surveillance Group, when Mr. Money became Vice President and Deputy
General Manager for the TRW Avionics and Surveillance Group (January
1995 to January 1996).
Mr. Money has more than 40 years of management and engineering experience
with the defense electronics industry and intelligence community in
the design and development of intelligence collection analysis capabilities
and airborne tactical reconnaissance systems. Throughout his career
(since 1962), Mr. Money has been recognized for his vision, leadership,
and commitment to excellence in systems and process re-engineering.
Since leaving the Pentagon in April 2001, Mr. Money has become a member
of various USG Advisory Boards, Panels, and Commissions; a member
of the Board of Directors of several US public Companies; a member
of the Board of Directors of several US private Companies; and a
member of several Company Advisory Boards. He was appointed a Member
on the Invertix Board on February 28, 2003.
He received his Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from the University of Santa Clara and his Bachelor of Science Degree
in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University.
Dr. Ed Bersoff
Dr. Ed Bersoff was appointed a Member on the Board of Directors on February
28, 2003. Dr. Bersoff is currently Chairman, President and CEO of
ATS Corporation, a publicly traded information technology company
located in Northern Virginia. Formerly he was a Managing Director
for Quarterdeck Investment Partners and the Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Re-route Corporation, a leading innovator in e-mail messaging
technology. Earlier he was President, Chief Executive Officer and
Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTG, Inc., a publicly traded
information systems and technical services company that he founded
in 1982 and sold to Titan Corporation in September, 2001.
From 1975 until 1982, he was employed by CTEC Inc. ("CTEC"),
a provider of systems integration services, serving first as Vice
President, then Executive Vice President, and later as President.
Previously, he was employed by Logicon, Inc., a provider of advanced
technology systems and services to national security, civil and industrial
clients.
Previously while on active duty, he was assigned by the United States
Army to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. Dr. Bersoff has over 30 years of experience in intelligence
system development, software, quality assurance, configuration management,
corporate management and management of software product design, development,
implementation and maintenance.
Dr. Bersoff serves as a director of Phillips International, Inc.,
EFJ, Inc., ICF International, Inc., the Inova Health System, and the
Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation. He is also Rector (Chairman)
of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Bersoff holds, A.B., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from
New York University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's
Owner/President Management Program.
