Meade, MD. |
Invertix Corporation had the honor of attending and presenting at the 2011 Wounded Warriors job fair held at Ft. Meade, MD. Over 100 servicemen and women who had been injured while on active duty - some of our nation's bravest and most important fighters of freedom - marched the halls of the McGill Training Center on the grounds of the Fort in order to find employment opportunities as their careers in the military began a transition phase to the private sector. Nearly a quarter of the Invertix work force is former military including several service-disabled veterans - most notably co-founder and CEO Art Hurtado. Hurtado added, "It's not a clichM-i for me to say that we were honored to take part in the Wounded Warrior job fair at the Fort. As a service-disabled veteran myself, I consider it a privilege to be able to give back to the Wounded Warrior community. Our support to the Wounded Warrior Project and the service-disabled community as a whole is part of who we are as a company and something that is a key element in the Invertix Way." Included among the distinguished guests was Department of Labor Assistant Deputy Secretary Junior Ortiz who spoke briefly during the opening ceremonies and conveyed his gratitude to everyone involved in the event.
