McLean, VA - December 29, 2011
Invertix Corporation has had a record-breaking year in 2011, amassing value in several key areas that will bring forth continuing excellence and relevance in the years to come. Growth, visibility and public recognition were just some of the leading stories in 2011, including:
-
Contracts (Won) - Invertix had a banner year in 2011 by winning several important contracts that will continue to generate revenue in 2012 and beyond. Initiatives in cloud computing, mobility and wireless networks, human and social systems and real-time situational awareness were central to the huge successes Invertix experienced in 2011.
-
Expanding our Influence - Tampa, FL and Annapolis Junction, MD both welcomed permanent Invertix operations in 2011. The expansion into Tampa allows for a closer relationship with CENTCOM where Invertix has leveraged several ideas into action for the customer. Our new office in the National Business Park complex in Annapolis Junction fortifies our existing visibility in the area and provides Invertix a strategic facility near Fort Meade where several customers and partners have key emerging and imminent technology needs.
-
Reached New Heights in Revenue and Headcount - Invertix managed to outdo themselves in 2011 by adding over 80 new employees to their cadre of scientists, engineers, analysts and other experts in their fields - over a 60% increase over 2010's final headcount. With newly awarded contracts and a keen eye for talent, Invertix expects this sustained growth to continue into 2012 and beyond. In June, Invertix opened a new corporate headquarters office in McLean, VA with an elegant open house and ribbon-cutting, attended by Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman, Sharon Bulova and Fairfax County Economic Development Authority President and CEO, Dr. Gerald Gordon. Designed to showcase a sophistication that is defined by its thought- provoking culture, the new facility boasts a state of the art laboratory environment and strategically designed secure facilities in order to satisfy several of its core customers and partners.
-
Continued Visibility and Recognition - Invertix was named as the Northern Virginia Technology Council's (NVTC) Hottest Emerging Government Contractor in June, was a GovCon Finalist for Contractor of the Year, repeated their 2010 performance by re-appearing on the Inc. 500 in August, maintained their status (via the Washington Business Journal) as a Top-10 Fastest Growing Company in the Washington, D.C.- area in October and was named as a Future 50 Company in December. Add all of that to a feature article on cloud computing in Virginia Business Magazine in April, international media hits from releases by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority in both August and December, radio interviews on Federal News Radio in November and features in Smart CEO Magazine in October and December among several other "hits" and you can see how Invertix has successfully piloted its brand to an amazing 2011. Partnerships with AFCEA, INSA and NVTC's Social Media Committee only added to the success story.
-
The Influence of Social Media - in July, the Invertix Twitter feed had a dozen followers and most of the tweets were of the "Happy Fourth of July" variety with no real intent...by December, those numbers were up over a hundred and the feed had graduated to conversations with the US Marine Corps, key communications leaders in the tech world and the strategic use of hash tags to spread news, information and ideas to millions of readers across the globe. Twitter also became a key tool for recruiting talent, gathering information and growing the Invertix influence in the Web 2.0 world. Also new to Invertix in 2011 - the Invertix Facebook page, which is accumulating visitors and interested parties daily with its media feed, and Yammer, which has taken over Invertix as the internal communications tool for 2011. Yammer is an internal social network that Invertix has adopted in 2011 which allows for the spread of Invertix news, ideas, questions and answers internally and is available to Invertix staff both in the office and via mobile application - allowing the thought leaders to continue their conversations away from their desks. Another important development in the Social Media arena in 2011 was the use of Skype at Washington- Baltimore area job fairs. As the only known company to use Skype in this manner, Invertix COO Craig Parisot was able to talk live with attendees while he was still in his office, allowing for job- seekers to ask questions, receive instant feedback and see that Invertix does do things differently. The unique use of this technology led directly to Invertix being named "Best Recruiter" by ClearedJobs.net.
